Megaband Krakathoom has cancelled their upcoming world tour citing personal differences. "Frankly, the world isn't ready for us," Krakathoom guitarist and vocalist Richard Mueller said. "We're way too advanced, musically speaking. In fifty years they'll start to understand what we were doing, but then it will be too late for them. Their loss," said Pete McDonnell, tireless drummer for Krakathoom. "It will take them at least twenty years for them to understand my hair," said Krakathoom bassist Fred Ostrander. "Even I don't fully grasp all of the underlying themes at times." Mueller said that even the U.S. concertgoers were probably too dense to understand the band's real impact on music and the world in general. "I can count on one hand the number of people who get our music. And two of them are in the band," Mueller said. Krakathoom guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Wikre noted that the band's planned tour of the basement was still on. "We've got dates at the basement booked though early next year. Mostly Tuesday nights around 7pm," Wikre said. "Anyone is welcome to stop by and try to grasp our import. Good luck to you, you'll need it." Added McDonnell, "We'll blow the house off that basement. Then we'll blow it back on. That's just how we roll."
