Can I get a ruling on that?

What would it take to make this message board threaded?

And what would it take to replace my wardrobe with some hip new threads? I think I need an Extreme Makeathoomover!

Threads were in the works (http://www.krakathoom.com/msgBoard.cfm?msgID=155)a long long time ago (you can see that's from almost seven years ago) so it wouldn't take too much to thread this puppy. I'd have to dig into the code and see what the hell I was doing back then and so on. Maybe we'll add that to the 'things to get done by 2012' list. On the up side, I bet we could sell this template to other bands and if we don't make any money at gigs at least we can keep the Krakatomb heated.

Unfortunately, I can't help you sartorially.

Fred got me thinking: we need to get a list of things we'd like to improve on the website.

Threaded messages (forum-style, I think)
A way to add graphics and links in the forum (safely)
Photo gallery with upload capability
Comments and trackback for blog
Dynamic uploading practice mp3s from Jeremy (separate section?)

I know that those practice mp3s are really really valuable to me. I listen to them and get more ideas.

OK, there's some primitive threading in here now. The latest reply will kick the main thread to the top of the list on the main page, but you'll have to figure out which is the latest post on that thread. Probably the bottom one. There's a bug in my SQL query, but I'll get that figured out at work on Monday. Much closer now, though.

Also, pretend like the threading is displaying properly by using the reply buttons anyway. They're stored correctly in the database, so they'll start showing up correctly once I get the SQL figured out.

This is awesome! Or should I say 4\/\/350|\/|3!!!!!1!!!1!

It's only awesome as long as you reply to the last thread. If you try to reply to a middle thread, it will still show up at the bottom. I also want to get some kind of user tracking in place so you don't have to see the full text of threads you've already read. They're stored in the database correctly, but that's the bug I mentioned.

Interesting. I also noticed that Explorer and Safari indent the threads, but Firefox does not. Why is Mozilla such a hater?

Firefox should indent threads now. If not let me know what version of FF you're using.

Here's a deep linked thread that finally works!
