Not a whole lot to report. Last night we pretty much played songs based on the order in which they came up in the pile. Weve got lots of time before our gig in September, so we havent really decided what were going to play there. All we know for sure is that well have an hour. And we dont even know that for sure.
After we jammed for a couple of hours, we went through our compensation for the wedding gig, i.e. the photos from last month. Our photographer said shed be happy to get one good shot per roll. But she only shot two rolls and there are a lot more than two good photos, so I think she was underestimating herself a little bit. We picked out some group shots and some individual shots, and Richards going to post them on the site. There was one shot that was blown up and printed out so we can have a pretty good idea of what the final press kit shot is going to look like. I dont know if were going to use it though; its pretty shadowy. I mean, it looks great and moody, but it doesnt seem right for us. We look like were standing in a dark alley and taking a quick break from handing out ass-whuppins (a word that my spell-check recognizes, by the way). We might see if we can get it lightened up a little to make us look less like a nu-metal band.
Richards doing some new research on stickers and t-shirts, seeing if we can employ local businesses. Hes also adding some new features to this here website that youll be able to enjoy soon. Jeremys tweaking the demo and putting together a CD of covers for us to learn, with our input. And thats about it for now. Keep checking back for pictures on the site so you can finally find out what we look like.
