Just because we haven’t gotten together since the gig doesn’t mean that nothing’s happening. Rob’s been diligently calling around on our behalf, and has actually gotten several clubs to express interest in booking Krakathoom. And by several, I actually mean “nine.” I’m not naming any of them yet, though, in case things don’t work out.

The thing is that before they’ll actually book us, they need to see a press kit. So we’re thinking we need to make ourselves one of those. As of this writing, we’re bouncing e-mails back and forth trying to figure out when we can all get together to talk about the press kit and get a band photo taken. Since we generally take the holidays off, we might end up not getting around to this until 2002. However, as Richard observes, we wouldn’t have an opening to play a gig until then anyway. So there.

In any case, we’re grateful to Rob for doing this work for us. Speaking for myself, seeing the names of some of those places and absorbing the reality that we might be playing at them soon is a little alarming. But exciting. Just the fact that people in the business of booking acts have heard of us is kind of a rush. We seem to be getting close to the next step.
