KrakaWHOM?
On Krak : KrakaWHOM? : Pete Drums: Pete McDonnell "Born of humble peasants in the hamlet of Rockburg, Pete grew up always noisily banging upon something...no matter if it was a wash pail, or the family’s pet llama..." That, unfortunately, would be a pernicious lie, and this author would never abuse his audience in such a fashion. The truth is that Pete, although a native of the burg of Chicago has called Minneapolis his home for the last 7 years, and is acting as if he has always lived here. His drumming career started in Chicago at the ripe age of 19, when attending college there, several friends turned him onto the path of the batistera, the ancient art and science of hitting things to make cool sounds. Since his introduction into the cult of percussion, he has “messed around” (an esoteric baterista term) with rock drumming, in jam sessions with several Minneapolis-based musicians (Rock on Roto-Spasmo!), and in his basement sound-stage/laundry room. According to informed sources, Pete’s other interests range from the eclectic to the outright bizarre. A fan of concert ticket collecting, his personal stash includes vintage stubs to Fugazi (1st Ave, ‘94), Naked Raygun (The Cabaret-Metro, Chicago, IL, ‘91) and Poison (Rosemont Horizon, Chicago, IL, ‘90). One of his more arcane pastimes consists of leafleting shopping malls with revolutionary Marxist literature, and studying the ensuing psycho-social paroxysm. Also, he really enjoys relaxing at home with a good book. As for his future direction in life, Pete’s usual response to queries of that nature bring a look of fiery passion to his eyes (blue), and the exalted cry of "BRING IT ON!"
